Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle reports the following police activity
At 3:28 p.m. the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Byron Fire Department and a Byron ambulance responded to a one vehicle accident in front of 428 E. Illinois 72.
A silver Toyota was eastbound on Illinois 72 when it left the north side of the road and struck an embankment before traveling into a field and coming to a stop.
The driver of the vehicle, Barbara A. Kinner, 81, of Oregon, was transported to Mercy Health Hospital by the Byron Ambulance with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
Tyleek Croft, age 24, of Beloit for was arrested for driving while license suspended. Croft was arrested by deputies on Illinois 251 near Davis Junction after being stopped for speeding. Croft was held in lieu of bond at the Ogle County Jail.
Tommie L. Hurst, age 29 of Belleview, Florida, was placed under arrest for no valid driver’s license and obstructing a peace officer at approximately 1:48 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 5000 block of North Illinois 2. Hurst was also issued citations for illegal transportation of alcohol and operation of a vehicle without proper lighting. Hurst was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he is held in lieu of bond.
Jesse Hetrick, age 40, of Dixon, was arrested for driving while license revoked and a valid Livingston County failure to appear warrant for a DUI. Hetrick was additionally issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle. He was stopped at approximately 10:40 a.m. in the 6400 block of South Illinois 2. Hetrick was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Ralph McCormick, 35, of Chana, was arrsted on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to report a change of address.
McCormick went to court and was released on a $10,000 recognizance bond. He is scheudled tol appear in court on Dec. 18.
Jeremy Owens, 25, of Rockford, was arrestd on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Owens went to court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. He was released from the Ogle County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 30.
Melissa Speers, 34, of Oregon, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Speers went to court and was released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. She was released from the Ogle County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 27.
